DIY Natural Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer

I’m a leaving… on a jet plane! Sorry, I have been out of commission as of late. I have traveled back to the Midwest to visit family. Of course I flew and now have been  exposed to all kinds of nasties. Nonetheless, hand sanitizer seems appropriate. With this much coconut oil, you may have some separation, but I like the moisturizing effect, especially in the cool, dry (indoor for me in the Northwest) months of fall and winter. If you gently shake before each use, it typically rights itself. Or if it gets too cold, warm in hands and then gently shake.

6 oz Aloe Vera
1 oz Witch Hazel
1 oz Coconut Oil
1/4 tsp Vitamin E Oil
15 drops Lavender Essential Oil
15 drops Tea Tree Oil

Melt the coconut oil and pour into a glass bowl. Add the vitamin E oil, lavender and tea tree oils. Gently swirl the contents to mix. Add the witch hazel and gently swirl again. Add the aloe vera and whisk to combine. Store in a plastic squeeze-topped container and you are set!
